Everything about the new minivan

This upcoming season, you'll be hitting the road with Portugal Nomads in a brand new minivan. Our old Fiat Doblo is being replaced with a more spacious and stylishly furnished Fiat Scudo. The perfect minivan for your road trip through Portugal!

After a long search for the ultimate minivan for Portugal, we finally settled on the Fiat Scudo. This van is agile enough to maneuver through the city, but also offers plenty of space to provide more comfort than just a bed. Especially since it’s the extended version (L3), the minivan offers a lot more room and comfort than smaller vans like the Fiat Doblo.

The van is manual and equipped with a modern media screen and a rearview camera. Power is supplied by a handy battery that automatically charges while driving. Usually, that's more than enough, but just to be safe, we'll also provide you with a solar panel.

When you enter through the sliding door, you'll first see a kitchen counter with a built-in fridge and a sink connected to two water tanks (for fresh and dirty water). If you look to the left, you'll find a spacious double bed measuring 140x200 cm, complete with bedding and fresh linens. The comfortable mattress consists of two parts and sits on a pull-out frame, allowing you to transform the bed into a cozy bench during the day. Opposite this is a foldable table, where you can sit together. The minivan is tastefully finished with wood and has various cabinets to store your belongings. There’s plenty of space under the bed for larger items like bags and surfboards.

With our old minivans, we often received feedback that it could get (too) warm inside – understandable given the climate in the Algarve. That's why we opted for maximum airflow this time, featuring a roof window with electric ventilation, opening windows, and air conditioning while driving.

We'll provide you with a cooking stove and all the necessary cooking gear to cook for yourself during your trip. Additionally, the minivan has a large awning that you can extend, so you can relax in the shade at your own outdoor table with chairs.
