The campsite is located on the edge of the village, where you can see the first cliffs within just a few minutes. Perfect for a first encounter with Portugal!

Ericeira Arrifana

Start the morning with a scenic walk from Matadouro to Praia de Ribeira d’Ilhas along the cliffs or explore the vibrant Ericeira.

On the way to the next stop, you'll come across some charming villages, like Sines or Milfontes. We recommend avoiding the toll roads so you can drive through the beautiful landscapes of Portugal.

Your next stop is Arrifana, where you'll be staying at a campsite close to some great restaurants. Explore the area or head to the beach to enjoy the sunset. It's the perfect way to end your day!

Arrifana Salema

The next morning, you can take a surf lesson, a real must-do during your trip around Portugal! Arrifana is a paradise for (beginner) surfers, making it the perfect spot to catch your first waves.

Not a fan of surfing? No worries! Close to Arrifana lies one of the most beautiful sections of the Fisherman’s Trail, a trail along the coastline of Portugal. The hike from Pontal da Carrapateira to Praia de Amado and back offers breathtaking views!

After an active day, you’ll drive for about an hour from Arrifana to the charming coastal village of Salema, where you’ll stay at an idyllic eco-camp. Here, you can join yoga classes or take advantage of the free shuttle to the beach.

Salema Lagos or Carvoeiro

Start your day with a real bucket-list activity: a boat trip from Lagos. This small-scale boat tour is divided into two parts. First, you'll head out to open sea in search of dolphins in their natural habitat. Then, you'll get to see the magical cliffs and caves of Lagos from the water—an unforgettable experience!

After the boat tour, we recommend exploring Lagos. It's a charming little town full of cozy restaurants and bars!

You can then drive on to Carvoeiro, so you can stay close to the start of the hike scheduled for the next day. Or you can choose to stay near Lagos, allowing you to spend the evening in what we think is one of the cutest towns in Portugal.

Lagos or Carvoeiro Fornalhas Novas

Today, one of the most beautiful hikes in perhaps all of Europe is on the agenda: the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. It's a 6-kilometer walk along the coastline featuring the most stunning cliffs.

Prefer to stay in Lagos? Then a short hike at Ponte Da Piedade is definitely recommended.

After an active morning, you'll drive on to Fornalhas Novas, a region known for its sprawling vineyards. Here, you'll spend the night among the grapes at a vineyard and have the chance to join a wine tasting at the winery where you're staying!

Fornalhas Novas Sesimbra

After a night under the bright starry sky in the middle of the vineyard, you continue the road trip to Sesimbra, a picturesque spot located by the Arrábida Natural Park.

Here, you'll be staying at a nature campsite. You can explore the beautiful nature park, visit one of the many beaches, or discover the charming village.

Tip: visit the highest peak of Arrábida Natural Park, Serra do Risco, and enjoy a breathtaking view.

Sesimbra Ericeira

Start your day with a kayak trip along caves, high cliffs, and beautiful beaches—a unique way to explore Sesimbra!

After the journey, it's time to return to the starting point of your trip, Ericeira.

Here you can enjoy your last evening at the campsite and further explore the charming village, a perfect way to wrap up your road trip.

Day 8 marks the end of the adventure in the Algarve, time to head back home. The minivan can stay behind at the campsite, and our partners will make sure you arrive at the airport or in Lisbon on time.

You're all set to explore the town of Ericeira or to go straight to surfing. You're staying right by the water, so you'll be on your surfboard in no time.

Ericeira Arrifana

Start the morning with the first surf lesson of the week; at Praia Matadouro, the experienced instructors are ready to teach you the tricks of the trade. Want to surf but not take a lesson? Within an 8km radius, you'll find 15 different surf spots, so plenty of waves to choose from!

After the surf lesson, it's time to head to the next stop. Along the way, you'll pass by some charming villages like Sines or Milfontes. We recommend avoiding the toll roads so you can drive through the beautiful landscapes of Portugal.

Your next stop is Arrifana, where you'll stay at a campsite near some great restaurants. You can also head straight to the beach to surf into the sunset, the perfect way to wrap up your day!

The next morning, it's time for the second surf lesson of the week. Arrifana is a paradise for beginner surfers, making it the perfect place to work on your surf skills.

Still have some energy left? Near Arrifana lies one of the most beautiful sections of the Fisherman’s Trail, a trail that runs along Portugal's coastline. The hike from Pontal da Carrapateira to Praia de Amado and back offers breathtaking views—definitely a must-do!

Fornalhas Novas Sesimbra

Just a short drive from Sesimbra, you’ll find amazing surf spots on the west coast, like Praia das Bicas!

If you're up for some adventure after your surf session, check out one of the many beaches, the nature park, or the charming little village.

In the morning, you can go surfing or join the kayak tour along caves, high cliffs, and beautiful beaches—it's a unique way to explore Sesimbra!

In the afternoon, you'll head back to the starting point of the trip, Ericeira. Here, you'll wrap up the surf week with a delightful sunset surf session before enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Ericeira one last time.
